I just found out my proposal for NAEA Fort Worth was accepted!!

I am so excited! I have never been to a national convention...and look forward to meeting as many of you as I possibly can. Did anyone else apply?
I did not apply but I'm an art teacher who works near Ft. Worth. I had no idea the national conference was coming to town. How cool! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteJealous. Wy can't we go to the SAME conference SAME year SAME city!
ReplyDeleteHi Mr E,
ReplyDeleteI work in Arlington which is right next door to Ft Worth, so our district is helping with the conference, it will be great to see you there!
Karen E
Mrs. E...do you know of cheap housing in that area near the conference?!?!?! We are thinking about making a family trip out of it.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's incredible! I'm sure you'll be a hit. Does NAEA compensate you in any way? Just curious.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Renee...no :( Nothing. And my district will do nothing as well. boooooooo
ReplyDelete1. Woo Hoo! Congrats! 2. Boo Hoo to your school district for not supporting the Tennessee Elementary Teacher of the year with a little Professional Leave $!!! You have brought so much good PR to your district. It's a shame that they can't help offset your travel expenses. On a happier note, I am DEFINITELY going to try to be there to cheer you on during your presentation!
ReplyDelete:)Pat
HA HA...Pat, you are not the first that has said something about the PR I've brought my district & my school. I guess after 16 yrs...I just knew not to expect anything from them. So..will you start the wave at my session?!? :) ha ha
ReplyDeleteWish I was going! I went to NYC... they won't pay for me to go to both my state and national in the same year and I did last year (got my coordinator to pay my registration)! Budgets are tight. Have fun and post pics!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Mr. E,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, I'm a Fort Worth art teacher and on the NAEA planning committee and I think you will have a great time. We are looking forward to all the visitors to "cowtown."
