1 Point Perspective Using Kleki

This week we worked on 1 Point Perspective using www.kleki.com !  I did this with my online students. I tend to get more work turned in using the kleki site, so whenever possible....we use it!!
It was interesting doing a tried and true paper, pencil, and ruler lesson. The kids really enjoyed it though.

Here is the video of my instruction!

Red Pen of Death

The RED PEN OF DEATH comes out every year when we're working on one & two point perspective.  I have them fold a 12x18 piece of paper in half so that they will have 4 surfaces to practice.
I also let them know starting out that we're working on an exercise..and that it is not the finished work of art. This takes the pressure off, and they are able to enjoy the process...and the improvement they make during the 4 attempts.
(NO STUDENT WAS EMOTIONALLY SCARRED BY THE RED PEN OF DEATH..REALLY!! THEY LAUGH & HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!)

THE END IS NEAR!!!!!

No..I'm not talking about the missed rapture!  The end of school is near!!!!  We have a week & a half to go.  This week I'm handing back student art work and giving them a Finish Up Day.  I allow them time to finish work & I do a portfolio review with each child.  I had posted this lesson(see above pics) a couple weeks ago...but this was the 1st class that did the project. I had them work in colored pencil(but switched to marker for the other classes).  These 4 stood out from the rest.  I hope that the end of the year is going well for you all!!!
