Kindergarten Water Color Still Life

 So the title of this post should be longer, but I felt it was getting a bit ridiculous. Kindergarten Wax Resist Water Color Cubist Still Life. See what I mean! ha ha  These are going to be in the running for our Abstract All School Art Show this year!  (they get to pick from several projects)  

Let me just say...these kiddos blow me away!

Picasso Inspired Musical Instrument Art


Our music teacher had to be out one day after a minor accident and wasn't able to pull sub stuff together for her in person and online classes.  I volunteered to do a music related art project video for her online students.  They really seemed to enjoy it.  Above is my teacher example & below is my video.

Cubist Still Life in Tempera: 2nd Grade

My second grade has been looking at & creating still lifes in many different styles.  Picasso was an artist we had previously studied (portraits), and I thought would be great to revisit.  The students love his "wacky style"(one of my students actually said this).  We used tempera to paint.  This was a two session project.  Day 1: Draw & Paint bold colors  Day 2: Outline in black & finish painting anything that is unfinished
