What has Mr. E been up to??

    So this is what I have been working on since school let out.....VBS sets!  This year's theme is fun for sets....but not as fun for crafts. Last year was the opposite. The kids will love it all...they always do!  We usually have around 300 or so children. It is a lot of work...but so much fun & totally worth it!!

       

                                 

Colossal Coaster World: Decorations

Hello VBS friends....I wanted to show you a project I was working on.  I'm creating room decorations for our kick-off/training this weekend!  The track is made from black poster board & sun visor I bought from The Dollar Tree.  I'm going to have the tracks going around the room on the wall...and then ending with the track coming out of the ceiling with the coaster(hung by fishing line from the drop ceiling).  In my mind..it is going to be fun, but we'll see when I actually start putting it up! ha ha  I'm going to do another room as well in a different "style".  The bright green poster board is going to be part of that...you'll have to wait and see(mainly because I'm still working on it! ha ha)

Colossal Coaster World: Crafts Part 1

I shared before that my wife is in charge of VBS at our church this year.  It is a BIG DEAL...because our church about 300...usually sees 500 kids attend our VBS each year!!  My wife left the crafts in my hands.  We can't really afford to by the pre-packaged crafts from Life Way....so I'm tweaking some of the projects they have already...and substituting some of my own.  I thought this would be a fun substitute!!   

*WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS CRAFT/PROJECT*

9x12 paper as a base

pre-cut strips to create the coaster (probably 10 per child

Elmer's Glue/Craft Glue (I would not suggest stick glue..probably would not hold.)

pre-printed coaster cars with kids in them

markers/crayons to color the coaster cars 

pre-printed bible verse to glue to the base
