BUT IT IS SUPER COOL TO WIN!
You are looking at the Tennessee Elementary Art Teacher of the Year!
In the midst of an extremely crazy roller coaster week last week...I got the news.
I'm extremely excited...very honored...and kind of in disbelief!
When I started teaching in 1997, this was never even a thought!?! I was happy to have a job I loved. Over the years, so many doors have opened for me to do things at the local, state, and national level. This blog has allowed me to interact with other amazing art educators on a global scale. This has kept the job interesting & challenging...but at the heart of it...I am happy to have a job I love.
This award is just icing on an already delicious cake!

ReplyDeleteJust happened back here to this post (I should be sleeping) and noticed you mentioned you've had trouble commenting on my blog lately. I have not had any trouble at all. A while back I had trouble and switched using browsers from Internet Explorer to Firefox and everything worked fine. At school I still use Internet Explorer and can't leave comments on blogs, so need to install Firefox there. That's the only solution I can come up with for you. What browser do you use? Or do you have a Mac and therefore shouldn't have these problems?
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome! Congratulations you definitely deserve it! You are my hero!!!
