RUBRICS?
So I am wanting to use a self assessment rubric with my students next year on most projects. I need to keep it simple & generic. I teach so many limited english, resource, and special ed students...I do not want it to stress them(or any other child really). I just want to get them thinking about their work with a more critical eye. You know how hard it would be to design a new rubric for every lesson, every grade level, every week?!?!?!! So what ya got. I'm interested to hear/see how you handle such things. If you want to send me a Word Doc..just e-me at artwithmre@yahoo.com

Could you post some of them too? I am interested in how to do this as well. Thanks:)
ReplyDeleteMe too... I've taught HS for 11 years and now find myself teaching Elementary... rubrics are not common in art here. I would love to see what others do. I am having my upper grades, 2-6, write what they like best about their work and what they thought was most difficult or what they would do differently next time for each project. I make up a half sheet with information on the project and artists we looked at, State Standards met, and a box for them to write their responses. THey glue it to the back of their artwork so that the parents and anyone else can check it out.
ReplyDeleteI have a K-2 version and 3-5 version of a simple rubric I can email you.
ReplyDeleteYes, please share them with us!!
ReplyDeleteWhere the rubrics posted from your student teachers your end result to this problem? Or do you have a better solution? We are moving into making a unique rubric for each unit and like you said that idea is very overwhelming.
