Monet's Bridge: 4th Grade

So here are the mostly finished works that I posted about a week or so ago.  Over all I am happy with them, but part of me wonders if I should have let the students switch over to tempera paint for the second day details.  Over all successful lesson....and I know when I teach it again...I'll tweak a few things next time to hopefully allow for more individuality.

  1. I just started Monet with my 1st graders! After we make our water lilies we're making clay frogs to sit in our pond hehe! I like how you incorporated the bridge for the older kids. I'm trying to figure out how to have the kids put a picture of themselves behind the bridge.

    1. I was going to try to take a photo of my students, have them cut it out, and paste it to the center of the image before the top and vertical bars are added. Using overlapping to make it appear they are on the bridge.

As I wanted to combo the Big ideas of culture and identity. Thanks for sharing!
