This is cool...I've done something like this before, but instead of a box, I used craft sticks (you know, good old popsicle sticks)to make the frame and then we glued our found objects to the fram when it was dry. Then I only let them paint using black, white or gold like Nevelson did. They loved it...I should do it again, I haven't done that project in 3 years! If I find a pic, I'll send it your way.
