Stick figure baby was seriousl...Thanks for posting! Stick figure baby was seriously funny. The best antidote for all of this is drawing from life. The art room can be such a confining space. Don't you think? Getting out of the art room and bringing life into the art room is important but so hard! I think that the symbols kids used will be "replaced" with symbols teachers want them to use unless we show what things look like or give them experiences. After I give students the experience of observation I might expect a little more than a sun in the corner!
