First, thank your for the care and example you've provided via your blog posts for practicing faith along side art making. Each time read I take joy in the inspiration and new perspective I gain as a result. Lastly, today's focus of being carful and not rushing your process whether with your art making or with your spiritual growth and development as a believer are such a timely message. So often we are trying to hurry up and be, produce, perform and are tempted to be perfectionists. Today's encouragement is a good reminder for the believer-artist to slow down, be present in the moment. Your post is a mini "how-to" for applying a verse like the Eph 5:15-17 passage. Just in the shorting reading makes me a bit more aware of my need to pace myself carefully as I work with my students on new projects as well as taking the necessary time to self reflection on my teaching practice and art making.
