Art Room Word Wall

I am in process of redoing my word wall.  It is a task, but I know I'll like the results.  I purchased word strips at Dollar Tree (30 in a pack...3 colors per pack). I place magnets on the back and have a metal word wall.  I place them on my magnetic white board for lessons they apply.  Students need to hear, see and apply vocabulary for it to truly sink in!!  If you don't have ( or use ) a word wall..give it a try!

  1. We were required to have a word wall. I used part of a large bulletin board and just wrote the words of random pieces of colored paper pieces. But I've got to say, the first thing I see when I look at your 'word strips' is WEAVING STRIPS! I loved to do paper weaving with my littles. Nasco sells pre-cut weaving strips and boy does having pre-cut stuff save you a lot of time at the paper cutter!

  2. Hi Ted!
Received my digital copy of School Arts the other day and, surprise! Your article, Fun Fish, was in there. So proud of a fellow art educator who goes above and beyond to share ideas with friends!
